The first generation came from Nanhai district,Guangdong province of the southern part China.

 

Leong Hoi Chew is the first generation of the Leong family who is a chinese physician in Chinatown,K.L since 1885.

 

The second generation whom is his son,Leong Kam Tong,succeeded in becoming a good chinese physician.

 

Then the grandson of the first generation who is Leong Yee Wai continued the family tradition in Petaling Street,Chinatown.

 

The 4th generation is Leong Hoon Leok himself who started learning and practising herbal medicine at the age of 8.

 

He learn the knowledge of becoming a chinese physician at the age of 12.

 

He was taught by his father,Leong Yee Wai,the principle I-Ching,5 elements namely metal,wood,water,fire and earth related to lung,liver,kidney,heart and spleen respectively and also the 10 heavens and the 12 earth stems.

 

The Nin-Ching provide the basic formulas for herbal and acupuncture principle,the balance of qi.

 

His father also taught him how to do pulse reading and herbal preparation.
